    Description

Up for sale is a complete set of all three Antonin Becvar’s colored star atlases. Atlases Borealis, Eclipticalis, and Australis. Epoch 1950.0
80 charts covering the entire sky to 9-10 mag. 320,000 stars, NO deep sky objects. Colored for spectral type.
Originally drawn by the famous Czech night sky map maker Antonin Becvar. These are considered second editions with the maroon colored Lexitone covers, and the full pages folded in half in each atlas. Still very useful today for visual observers. These were the "Cadillac" of star charts for the 1960's-70's. These were (are) often found in the libraries of professional observatories.
These are in near mint condition with very little signs of wear. There is a small tear on the Borealis front cover near the spine (see photos). These are large atlases. 13 1/2inches X 19 inches.
    Selling as a set.
